One day Dallas stopped what she was doing, went traveling for six months, and tried to tell herself all the reasons why a profession in photography and the arts was a bad idea. It didn't work. Upon her return, she applied for and graduated from PrairieView School of Photography in Winnipeg, Canada and has been working as a freelance photographer ever since.
Dallas main passion lies within the realm of fine art photography, and she loves to work in series be it conceptual, creative or journalistic. This creative energy spills over into all of the areas she works in, including portrait, commercial, performance and travel.
Based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Dallas works with various digital and analogue processes, creating both colour and black and white images to portray personality, mood and intrigue. Her approach, equally meticulous and adaptable, results in a variety of styles.
Her artwork has been included in several group exhibitions in Canada and the United States, as well as in conjunction with concerts of the Artstrong Ensemble of Alberta.
She accredits her love of photography to her love of travel, and the training in opening ones eyes that both impart. Dallas finds the everyday just as interesting a subject as the foreign, confusing, hilarious, strange and entertaining worlds of near and far.
